FEATURED WEDDING: AMY & TIM

The Fall season in Bermuda is a beautiful time of year for weddings! Amy King and Tim Forbes chose Bermuda for their destination wedding, which took place on October 10, 2015 - just a few days after Hurricane Joaquin graced the island with her presence! Amy and Tim's family and friends flew down from New England for a few days of bliss to celebrate their union. To properly greet their guests, the couple hosted a Welcome Dinner the night before the wedding at Grotto Bay; a great way to kick off the trip! Fabulous food, memorable speeches, and a rockin' dance party led by the Kennel Boys made the evening very memorable. Click "here" to check out a few shots from their Welcome Dinner!

The wedding day started out with everyone getting ready at Tucker's Point, where Tim has been vacationing since he was a young boy. Amy designed her wedding gown, which was sewn together from two different dresses and had pockets! After the bouquets were delivered by Demco, the couple had their "First Look" shoot, and then went to the Mid Ocean Club for the ceremony on the beach. After the couple said "I Do", the reception was kicked off by announcing the bridal party. Gliding onto the dance floor as their names were called, Amy and Tim shared their first dance as husband and wife. Speeches were given by the Best Man and Maid of Honor and afterwards, Amy & Tim cut the cake! To top off the night - a kickin' dance party was led by the fabulous local band, Working Title.

I had a great time photographing Amy and Tim's wedding! As a photographer, it's important for me to deliver the best images to my clients but to also stay true to my own style of shooting. My photogrpahic roots are in documentary photography and photojournalism - noting a difference between the two - yet, I have a strong passion for traditional portraiture. Using these different approches, I try to capture true moments and raw emotions. Honest moments for a big day! Cheers to the happy couple!
